JAKARNAVAL 2019
The South
Korean Embassy participated in enlivening the 2019 Jakarnaval cultural parade
on Jalan Merdeka Selatan, on Sunday 30 June 2019.
This
Jakarnaval stands for the name of the Jakarta Carnival, this carnival to
commemorate the anniversary of the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, which is 492
years old.
The event
will feature cultural parades, modern parades and decorative car parades. The
plan, this Jakarnaval event will be held around the Thamrin area, Central
Jakarta.
Head of the
Jakarta Province Tourism and Culture Office, Edy Junaedi, said that the
Jakarnaval event which will be held on Sunday 30 June 2019 will be the biggest
carnival party in Jakarta.
"The
parade participants and parades involve Jakarta residents, students, art workers
and the community. The main stage of Jakarnaval is in front of the DKI Jakarta
Provincial City Hall, the parade participants will be released by the Governor
of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan,"
The cultural
parade route and modern parade starts in front of DKI Jakarta City Hall, turns
onto Jalan MH Thamrin, and turns at Tugu Jam MH Thamrin to return to Monas.
Meanwhile
the decorative car parade route starts in front of the DKI Jakarta Provincial
City Hall, turns towards Jalan MH Thamrin and ends at HI Roundabout. The parade
starts at 3:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. WIB. residents can enjoy this Jakarnaval
program for free.
"A
total of 5,000 people will participate in the cultural parade and 25 vehicles
for the decorative car parade which will feature Transjakarta-owned buses. The
parade will also showcase the culture of a friendly country," he said.
Lots of
participants who participated in this carnival from traditional Indonesian
clothing, Indonesian culture, indigenous ethnic communities in Jakarta and many
other countries involved in this carnival participant, one of them was from
Korea.
From the
participants of the parade, the South Korean Embassy featured in the first line
there was Samulnori, salmunori was a traditional Korean percussion instrument.
In the second row, the athletes wearing authentic South Korean martial arts,
taekwondo.
In the third
row, there were participants who wore traditional clothes of South Korean
people, namely Hanbok with shades of blue, pink and white. The clothes are very
beautiful and charming when worn by men or women.
As we know
that South Korea and Indonesia have long been in cooperation and friendship,
both in the fields of economy, culture and even tourism
And on the
enthusiasm and enthusiasm of the Korean team participants who enlivened the
Jakarta anniversary. Not to forget also the participants brought the South
Korean national flag.
