register their names , telephone numbers and e-mails, all ages and groups can
also join this event.
the
people who attended the event were also very numerous and because they were
very interested, in this event the food that was introduced was Ttaebokki and
odeng, in this place we could also cook for ourselves and also mix the spices
we wanted, and of course according to our tastes .
Street Food
is ready-to-eat food or drinks that are sold on the streets or public areas, by
hawkers or peddlers, sometimes from tents or kiosks that are easily cleared up.
Most Street Food is divided into types of finger food (food that can be eaten
with your fingers) and fast food (fast food).
There are
two meals that are served in this event, namely ttaebokki and odeng.
Tteokbokki
is Korean confectionary in the form of tteok made from rice flour cooked in a
spicy and sweet gochujang seasoning. Tteok used in the form of rods or
cylinders. This snack is a popular food sold in Pojangmacha.
Initially,
these snacks originated from the cuisine of the Joseon Dynasty palace called
gungjung tteokbokki. At that time, this dish was huintteok cooked with soy
sauce with beef, bagogari, green bean sprouts, parsley, shiitake, carrots, and
onions. The taste is far different from the chili seasoned tteokbokki known
today. In addition, the tteok used can consist of 5 colors that symbolize
Korea: red, yellow, white, black, and blue.
Odeng is the
food that we meet most often in South Korea. In food stores, supermarkets,
roadside stalls, restaurants to star hotels. Basically odeng is fish that is
usually boiled and how to eat it using hot broth. That's why Odeng is very
suitable to eat when winter comes because it can warm the body. Usually Odeng
is served by stabbing the fish in a skewer. Apart from using broth, Odeng can
also be eaten with sauce, especially soy sauce.
If you go to
Korea, at least we will find 3 types of Odeng. The first is Odeng which is
eaten using broth. The broth comes from a turnip mixture, leeks mixed with crab
and seaweed to add flavor. In roadside tent stalls, you can eat Odeng with
unlimited broth. Usually there are people who eat Odeng not with broth but with
spicy red milk. The second type of Odeng is Odeng served with mustard sauce and
tomato sauce. The third type is called Odeng Tang or Eomuk Guk. Here, fish is
served in a bowl of broth with chili and onions and soybeans. Yes, Odeng colors
and offerings vary depending on where you buy them. Every stall and restaurant
in South Korea has its own blend to add a delicious taste to Odeng. Some add
vegetables, peppers, sesame leaves and others.
The city
famous for its delicious Odeng is Busan. It was here that Odeng was first
popularized namely during the Japanese occupation of Busan. The restaurant in
Busan that sells Odeng is Busan’s Renowned Hoe House. In this place you can
taste Odeng Tang which has been served since 1968. Odeng broth is made from 15
different ingredients so that it gives a different flavor as well. This
restaurant is located in Sujeong-dong, open from noon to night and closed every
Sunday in the first and third week. The second restaurant is Miso Odeng which
is also located in Busan. Although it only opened in 2007, this restaurant has
many customers. There are several choices of Odeng at this restaurant such as
the Mushroom Odeng and the Squid Odeng. If you want to get a different choice
of odeng, come to the Sweet Home Home Restaurant in Seoul. Here you will be
given a menu of more than a dozen types of Odeng
