Hunting for Korean culinary tourism with Indonesian honorary reporters


On Thursday, July 30, 2020, our journey began exploring in the city of Bogor - Indonesia, the largest city next to the center of the capital city of Jakarta, with my fellow Honorary reporters (Putri ayu ningtyas) we came to the famous Korean restaurant called "KINI KOREAN RESTO ".


When we arrived here, we immediately felt a very strong Korean nuance from the front of the restaurant which was plastered like in Korea, once we entered we were greeted with a distinctive greeting like Korean namely "오서 오세요 / OSeo OseYo" which means welcome !, This restaurant consists of 2 floors. On the first floor there is a public open kitchen, and we can see the process of making "김밥 / Kimbab" one of South Korean foods.


And on the second floor it is what makes us surprised that traditional Korean clothes are provided or called "HanBook" and we can feel the sensation of eating with Korean food while wearing Korean traditional clothes, very thick once the cultural elements that exist in this restaurant, certainly do not miss to take pictures by using traditional clothes typical of South Korea.

Korean food is no longer a something new for Indonesian people, along with the growing popularity of several Korean dramas that showing the culture of eating Korean food, the trend of Korean food has also grown in Indonesia.

There are Kimbab, Kimchi jjigae, Teokpokki, jjapjae and others. The name is KINI Korean Bistro, the address is at Jln. Pajajaran, Bogor.

The food we recommend is Kimbab. Because of its large size and taste that can be accepted by all groups. The price was not too expensive. Rp.55,000, - with its large size, we can buy with friends.

In addition, there is Kimchi Jjigae who has become famous lately due to the drama Itaewon Class. The savory taste of beef and tofu is suitable to be enjoyed while it's hot. Spicy Indonesian tongue can still be accepted. Eaten while it's hot, it's delicious.
Then the food that always appears in Korean dramas, teokpokki. This should not be missed. Large portions and a lot of topping make this food one that we recommend to Indonesian friends who want to taste this food.

Since the beginning of the 17th century, a movement that advocated Silhak, or learning about practical matters, gained considerable momentum among liberal-minded scholars as a tool for building a modern nation.
