Online talk show webinar with the theme “Apa Kabar Indonesia?” with the South Korean ambassador to Indonesia Park Tae Sung
On
Friday 29 January 2020, the Korean cultural center Indonesia together with the
ambassador, Park Tae Sung, held an Online Talk Meeting with the theme "Apa
Kabar Indonesia?", this event was attended by many participants from
honorary Reporters Korea.Net, Sahabat Korea (Online supporters of the embassy
Korea in Indonesia) and those attending the webinar were also the Hallyu lovers
community.
In
this webinar, we talked to give questions to the ambassador, because Ambassador
Park Tae Sung is the new Korean ambassador to Indonesia, replacing the previous
ambassador, Kim Chang Beom. Many of us raised questions to the ambassador.
There
is a question about Indonesian culture in the field of clothing, namely
traditional Indonesian clothing called "Batik". How is Batik
according to the Ambassador? Batik is a traditional Indonesian dress and can be
worn at any moment, be it formal or non-formal, so it can be adjusted if you
want to use batik clothes in any event, and each batik has many motifs and has
the meaning and beauty of each type of batik in Indonesia. I really like this
outfit. In Korea there is a hanbook, but it is not like batik, it is only used
when there are big events in Korea. But batik can be worn anytime, and when I
work at the embassy I also wear batik.
Then
next there is a question about what Indonesian food the ambassador likes?
Ambassador Park Tae Sung really likes fried rice, fried noodles and chili
sauce, of all the Indonesian food available, the ambassador likes oxtail soup
the most, because in Korea there is the same food as oxtail soup.
Then
there is the question how did he feel when he first arrived in Indonesia? When
I first came to Indonesia, I met Indonesians, Indonesians were very kind and
friendly, they didn't get angry easily. And Indonesia can be said as a dynamic
country for now Indonesia is still a developing country but Indonesia is very
good in all factors. And the Ambassador was very impressed with the value of
Pancasila as the basis for the state that Indonesia has.
The
countries of Korea and Indonesia are friendly countries, and the ambassador
wants to forge closer and continued cooperation between Korea and Indonesia,
focusing public diplomacy on economic factors, last year when the Indonesian
president visited Korea and met with the Korean president, much was discussed
about cooperation economy between these two countries ... And there was a very
unique moment, when the Indonesian president called the Korean president as
"형님"
which means male Kaka. You could say this is a sign that Indonesia and South
Korea will continue to advance together and cooperate in all fields.
