This festival is usually known as the Boryeong Mud Festival which takes place every summer in Korea. This festival is intended as a spiritual and physical cleansing that is celebrated on Daecheon Beach.

Daecheon beach is a favorite location for tourists who want to try bathing in mud. Maybe many think, why are tourists bathing in mud, indeed in their own country there is no mud?. make no mistake, it turns out that Boryeong Mud is already very famous, because it is rich in nutrients and beneficial for skin health! Even to make cosmetics made from Boryeong mud!

This festival was first held in 1998 to introduce cosmetics from Boryeong mud. Now, more than 2.2 visitors come every year to take part in various events there. Starting from the Mud Contest, mud wrestling, mud massage, to acupuncture. There are also no less exciting, such as mud skating competitions and swimming in mud pools! For photography lovers, this event is very interesting. Because, they can take a very unique object that only happens once a year.

The Boryeong mud used in the attraction is safe, because the mud is made from mud that is collected along the coastline and has been processed to remove dirt, so you don't have to worry about having fun playing mud.

After getting tired of playing mud, you can also attend a musical performance held at Daecheon Beach. Several Korean singers and music groups will entertain the audience. Since the beginning of the 17th century, a movement that advocated Silhak, or learning about practical matters, gained considerable momentum among liberal-minded scholars as a tool for building a modern nation.
