Vacation to the hidden charm of Raas Madura Island, make it a holiday list for you!

The natural charm of Indonesia is never ending, one of the places I visited was Raas Island, this island is included in Sumenep Regency, Madura. Traveling to this island by ship, I departed from the anchor port located in Situbondo, it took 5 hours of travel.

Arriving at the port on Raas Island, I was very pleasantly surprised! Because the scenery here is very cool and beautiful! The light blue sea water and the melodious sound of the waves make this trip sure to be very exciting! Definitely..

There are several things that must be considered when friends want to take a vacation to this island, first, on this island there is no signal (there is only one provider that can do it, namely ex-el, and even then it is not too strong *not a promotion, hehehe). Second, electricity on this island is only on for 12 hours, from 6 pm to 6 am. Third, the mode of transportation on this island is by motorbike.

Raas Island consists of 7 villages, and there is only one highway, and this road is not too big (only enough for 2 cars), this highway divides Raas Island which connects 2 villages at each end of the island. The distance from end to end of the island, if you take a car 2 hours (round trip). If you ride a motorbike for 4 hours (round trip). This highway is not always smooth, there are parts where the road is damaged and rocky.

Residents on this island mostly work as fishermen, farmers and breeders, there are also those who work as salt makers in salt ponds and collect seaweed for food, then what about the local people? Very kind, friendly and likes to help, in taste for food from nature is very abundant such as vegetables, fruit and also seafood, here there is also no mini market or supermarket, so if you want to shop for basic needs, rely on the local community stalls.

The first destination I visited was the main beach in the "Panggung" area where the arrival or main port here. In this place as far as the eye can see the vastness of the beautiful sea is clearly visible! The light blue sea water and the gentle breeze make the mind calm when you are in this place! In this place you can capture the moment like taking pictures with a very beautiful background!

The second destination I visited was the Salt Tambak, some of the residents in this race also work as salt makers, the vast expanse of salt ponds makes us think that the process of making salt is quite long... about 20 days, then filtered again and we can only use it, in this salt pond we can also try to flatten the salt in the field by using a special tool roll to flatten the salt. Anyway it's really fun and cool!!!

The third destination I visited was the second beach and lobster cages in the "Ketupat" area (the name of the village is indeed ketupat, hehehehe), the coast here has more places to sell fish and also a place where fishermen close their heads after fishing in the ocean, not far from In this place, we can take a small boat to the lobster breeding center and cage! And not only that~ we can also buy lobster or fish here and cook it right away... directly fresh from the sea! Hhhmmm really good anyway!!!

The last destination I visited, namely shellfish hunting on Batur beach, was still in the same area, namely in the "Ketupat" area. On this beach there is a very beautiful photo spot with a very wide and long beach background!!! And not only that here you can also look for clam shells, the shells here are also very beautiful for decoration! Oh yes. It's so clean here! No trash at all.

I didn't realize that my trip on Raas Island was over, returning by ship from Raas Island to Sumenep Harbor, took a shorter time when I arrived, which was 4 hours and 30 minutes. Indonesia has a lot of natural beauty that is very exotic and beautiful, one of which is the island of Raas,

Put this Raas Island into your domestic tourism target, OK! I hope that after the Covid-19 pandemic ends, you can visit this place and feel the beauty of nature and peace of mind when you are on vacation to Raas Island.

Have a #DiIndonesiaAja vacation and see the beauty of #PesonaIndonesia!!!!!
