The experience of going to the village of Hahoe which is in the Andong City of South Korea

 


South Korea, is a country in East Asia that covers the southern part of the Korean Peninsula, Korea began with the formation of Joseon (or more often referred to as Gojoseon to avoid the name similarity with the Joseon Dynasty in the 14th century) in 2333 BC by Dangun. Gojoseon expanded into northern Korea and Manchuria. After several wars with the Han Dynasty, Gojoseon began to experience disintegration, everyone must already know and know the country of South Korea, a beautiful and historical country and became the center of the development of the famous pop season, namely k-pop, but not only in the entertainment field, Korea also has advantages in the field of tourism, there are so many Korean tourist attractions that we can do and go to these tours.

Here I want to explain a little about the climate in Korea, South Korea's climate is influenced by the climate of mainland Asia and has 4 seasons. Summer in South Korea starting in June can reach temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius (in the city of Daegu), which is marked by the arrival of the rainy season that falls in late July to August in all parts of the peninsula. Meanwhile, the average winter temperature can fall as far as minus 10 degrees Celsius in some provinces.

On the occasion of this year in winter I was able to visit one of the cities in Korea, namely Andong City, Andong is a city in South Korea, and is the capital of North Gyeongsang Province. Andong is the largest city in the northern part of the province having the Nakdong River flowing through this city. Andong is the market center for the surrounding agricultural area. Andong is known as the center of folk culture and traditions. The surrounding area retains many ancient traditions, so in mid-October the Andong Folk Festival is held every year. One of the most famous aspects of this cultural celebration is the Andong mask.


The first place I visited was the Gyeongsangbukdo provincial office, this provincial office was in Andong City which was previously in Daegu City, as long as I had an experience visiting this provincial office, I was very impressed because this office was very spacious, so I entered this provincial office. , after arriving inside, in the center of the office there is a giant brush or but (in Korean) hanging here, and in this office there are also several city logos that are pasted on the walls, not only in the spacious office but also in the garden. outside the building is also very beautiful and wide lots of photo spots that can be taken here.

Then the second tourist destination that I visited was Hahoe Village, Hahoe Village which means 'Nakdong river surrounds the village' surrounded by low mountains and the Nakdong river. Hahoe Village was formed by the three clan groups Heo, Ahn and Ryu at the end of the Goryeo Dynasty to become a housing complex for the Yangban upper class. In the late 17th century, the village of Hahoe became a single village by the Ryu clan group. At this time, 100 families lived in Hahoe village. The village was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List under the category "Historic Villages in Korea" on July 31, 2010. As the village is a popular tourist site in Andong, entertainment shows take place all year round. In addition, the Andong Mask Dance Festival is also held every fall.
