On
Friday, December 26, 2021, the Korean Cultural Center Indonesia (KCCI) held an
outdoor event, this event had the theme of introducing Korean culture to the
Indonesian people, especially culture in the form of traditional Korean
clothing, namely "Hanbok", before holding this event the KCC party
had been looking for several selected people who are categorized as people who
really love and are interested in Korean culture, this chosen person is the one
who gets the opportunity to be a model to wear hanbok and travel around Jakarta
with the aim of introducing Korean culture to the Indonesian people.
The
place that becomes the focus of this trip is of course the city of Jakarta with
several areas that we visit, such as when we visit the "Monas" or
also known as the (National Monument), this activity is a cultural public
diplomacy which introduces Korean culture with hanbok as an object to be seen.
was introduced, the director of the Indonesian Korean cultural center was also
present at this event and expressed his gratitude to the Indonesian people who
have loved and loved Korean culture.
Several
people who took part in this activity expressed that they were very happy and
felt happy because they could participate in this public diplomacy activity and
there were several responses given after participating in this event.
"Surely
this public diplomacy is one way to introduce culture from one country to
another. Putting aside the political agenda of the country, this public
diplomacy needs to be done to improve the image of one country in another and
certainly strengthen unity. The impression after participating in this activity
is certainly very It's nice to be able to show hanbok, which is traditional
Korean clothing directly to people in downtown Jakarta. The message I can
convey is let's continue to support good relations between Korea and Indonesia.

"Public
cultural exchange diplomacy is one of the diplomacy efforts between countries
by introducing the culture of a particular country. For example, the Hanbok
Exploration Jakarta event held by KCCI yesterday. The event was fun,
educational, and provided a new experience to get to know Hanbok. I hope more
people can participate following the event. By seeing yesterday's enthusiasm
from the community, I believe Korean culture and especially Hanbok can be loved
by more people in the future. Instagram : @raewoo_kim "
"After
establishing and maintaining good relations with other countries, especially
Korea-Indonesia, each country must begin to spread its cultural diplomacy
practices. In this case the expansion of diplomatic relations makes it easier
for each country to achieve their national interests. The country must always
be added and expanded. It's really nice, the first experience and very
interesting because when walking around wearing hanbok, some people are seen
who are interested and want to take a photo together and they know that hanbok
is traditional Korean clothing. Instagram : @fahrahayaa "
