Mosan Airfield Became Popular After Appearing in BTS Music Video

 


Mosan Airfield gained a lot of attention after appearing in the music video entitled “EPILOGUE: Young Forever” which was released in 2016 by one of the popular groups, BTS. Located in Jecheon, Chungcheokbuk-do, the BTS music video was recently uploaded on Jecheon's official website to promote the area.

Mosan Airfield was also visited by several social media influencers during the Fam Tour activities carried out with the Korea Tourism Organization. Influencers plan to promote Mosan Airfield by displaying photos and written content through their personal social media.

The Mosan Airfield, which is administered by the Ministry of Defense, was built in the 1950s as a military training location and in an effort to prevent war and maintain peace. Civilian aircraft used to use the area, but Mosan Airfield was turned into a park after the city government and military combined agreed to open a public space in part of the area.

You can find cafes, restaurants, and casual walking locations near the runway in this area. In response to the sudden popularity of Mosan Airfield, a Jecheon public official gave his vote, “Mosan Airfield is gaining a lot of attention from tourists thanks to the popularity of BTS, this is a great opportunity to promote Jecheon and other beautiful tourist spots.”
