Summer In Korea
Summer starts from June to August, and the peak of
summer is August. The dryness of winter and spring seems to dissipate as summer
arrives because summer temperatures are so high and humid. Generally, between
the end of June and the middle of July in Korea it is already the rainy season,
due to the change of seasons. During the rainy season in Korea there is no
scorching heat, and for several weeks it is usually cloudy with up to three
weeks of heavy rain.
The frequency of rain is called Jangma, and typhoons
can directly cause damage to crops. In summer, there are lots of fruits
including Watermelons, Melons, Peaches, and there are also lots of vegetables.
In addition, the mountainous region is covered in greenery. To avoid the
scorching heat of the sun, Koreans usually go mountain climbing, go to the
coast, or go to the valley areas to enjoy summer vacation time.
