The support team of the Republic of Korea Embassy "Sahabat korea" Opening ceremony 2020



On Saturday 1 February 2020, the embassy of the Republic of South Korea in Indonesia made a project called "Friends of Korea", for 2020 this is the second year the "sahabat korea" project is held, what is "sahabat korea”!?

“Sahabat Korea” are social media support teams for the Republic of Korea's embassies in Indonesia, our job is to post information about Korean events held in Indonesia, such as Korean traditional dance shows in Indonesia, or South Korean food exhibitions in Indonesia, or the other ones, basically, are Korean events in Indonesia. And of course we get official certificates from the embassy of the Republic of Korea, because it plays an active role as "Sahabat Korea".

With the information on Korean events in Indonesia, we can introduce Korean culture to Indonesian people, and precisely yesterday, Saturday, February 1, 2020, we held a "second opening ceremony" for new people and some people from the previous year, 2019
"sahabat korea" every year has 100 members, from every different region and from different islands and of course we all have different backgrounds or occupations, but even though we are all different from one another, it is still our goal to promote all activities. Korea in Indonesia.

In the opening ceremony yesterday, do not forget to miss some dance performances and also Korean traditional music at the Korean embassy and also there are hallyu performances such as dance covers.
Last year in 2019, the first generation “sahabat korea” received certificates of appreciation from WWF Indonesia. Because we contribute to the environment in Indonesia by donating 100 trees in 4 different regions in Indonesia.

One of the proud programs of the Republic of Korea's embassy with "sahabat korea" is "Teko Nang Jawa". This program is to introduce Korean culture, Korean food, tourism, and much more. The Republic of Korea's ambassador to Indonesia (Kim Chang Beom) traveled overland by bus, visiting several cities on the island of Java, and this program received good results and also received an award from the Republic of Korea's foreign ministry as the best diplomacy program from all embassies Korea is in the world.
