South Korea prioritizes sending corona test kits to Indonesia. The assistance provided by South Korea to friendly countries
South Korean Ambassador to Indonesia, Kim Chang-Beom
said that Indonesia and South Korea are true friends and one heart. This is the
basis and the main reason why South Korea prioritizes Indonesia in the export
of COVID-19 Corona Virus test kits.
The South Korean government has previously announced
that Indonesia has become one of the priority countries for the export of
medical devices and quarantine in the fight against Corona COVID-19 Virus.
Indonesia being one of the priority countries is a
concrete manifestation of the strategic partnership between the two countries
based on the spirit of mutual assistance and solidarity.
"Indonesia is the only country in ASEAN that
has a special strategic relationship," said Ambassador Kim, in Jakarta,
for this reason, Indonesia will receive test kits from South Korea.
Furthermore, while continuing to communicate with
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and BNPB, the South Korean government will send
medical aid in the form of rechargeable disinfectant sprayers along with the
COVID-19 Corona Virus test kit.
"We have discussed what items might be sent to
Indonesia," he said.

facilitated the sending of assistance from the LG Group, namely LG Electronics,
LG Chem, LG Innotek, and LG International, to the Government of Indonesia in
the form of PCR (Polymerase chain reaction) diagnostic kits 50,000 tests

LG Group is a multinational electronics and
technology company based in the Yeongdeungpo District, Seoul, South Korea. Since
its establishment in 1947, the company has until now had branches and
subsidiaries operating in more than 80 countries, including Indonesia.
The PCR diagnostic kit assistance is a form of LG
Group's contribution in supporting the Government of Indonesia's efforts to
combat the Corona Virus pandemic. "LG Group has been coordinating and
consulting closely with the Indonesian Embassy in Seoul in preparing the forms
and ways of sending aid to Indonesia," explained Ambassador Umar who was
