A winter festival with group fishing activities at the Jaraseom Singsing Winter Festival (가평 씽씽 송어 축제)

 

The Jaraseom Singsing Winter Festival is famous for its trout fishing activities on rivers or fish farms where the water turns ice. Just like the Pyeongchang Trout festival, the fish catch can be eaten, raw or grilled.

Getting to the festival in Jaraseom-ro, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do is quite easy. You only take the ITX Cheongchun train from Yongsan Station. Also nearby are points of interest such as Namiseom Island, The Garden of Morning Calm, and Petite France.

The Gapyeong Singsing Trout Festival offers various interactive programs for visitors along with dining options using trout.

Programs, Ice trout fishing, barehand fishing, etc., Show Time 09: 00-17: 00, Admission / Adult Participation Fee12,000 won / Children 10,000 won, Show Duration Varies by program, Transportation by train to Gapyeong Station. Walk around. 15 minutes to the venue. If using a bus From Dong Seoul Bus Terminal, take an intercity bus to Gapyeong Bus Terminal. Walk around. 10 minutes to the place. If taking the Subway From Sangbong Station (Seoul Subway Line 7, Gyeongui-Jungang Line), transfer to the Gyeongchun Line and get off at Gapyeong Station. Walk around. 15 minutes to the venue.
