Yutnori Korean Traditional Ludo Game

Did you know the game Ludo? Korea also has a Ludo game for a long time, namely Yutnori, Ludo which we often play today on our cellphones has a difference with Yutnori.

The traditional Yutnori game is usually played on Seollal or Korean New Year. Yut which means stick and Nori which means game. The way to play Yutnori is similar to Ludo which we often play, but Yutnori uses 4 sticks as dice and tokens as movement markers, tokens can be replaced with stones, buttons, coins or marbles.

Game Strategy, Similar to Ludo, all players run from the same point and if the Yutnori player location is the same then the new player who arrives will win and the previous player will return to the starting start and restart the game from the beginning. However, yutnori are boxy and have a different winning strategy.

Not only football, Yutnori also has a winning strategy. The game will start from the same starting point, rotate to choose a strategy, until it returns to the starting point. If you meet an opponent at the same point, the opponent who came first will return to the start and start the game from the beginning. Therefore, strategy is needed in Yutnori games.
