Romantic spring time on Nami Island (남이섬)
Nami
Island, which is located near the Bukhangang River in Bangha-ri, Namsan-myeon,
Chuncheon, is famous as a representative themed tourist attraction of Korea. Nami
Island uses the "Namimara Republic" with the concept of "the
only republic of the imagination that shares its fairy tales and beautiful
songs with guests from all over the world."
Nami
Island is a charming tourist destination that is in harmony with the natural
ecosystem as well as culture & art. The island provides scenic walking
trails, such as the Metasequoia Trail, the Gingko Tree Trail, the Korean Pine
Tree Trail, and the Reed Woods Forest Trail, and cultural and artistic spaces,
such as the Picture Book Library, Handicraft Studio, UNICEF Building and Song
Museum. As this is Korea's first UNICEF Children's Friendly Park, there is
plenty of space for children, including a playground and a library.
This
place also offers a variety of amusement rides, such as electric cars and
family bikes, various experiential activities combined with environmental,
recycling and art concepts, as well as restaurants and coffee shops. Visitors
can enjoy fantastic landscape views for each season: the beautiful Cherry Tree
Trail in spring, the refreshing Metasequoia Trail and outdoor water park in
summer, colorful foliage in autumn, and views of sparkling snow in winter. .
Hotel Jeonggwanru is also located within the island. The hotel consists of a
main building with rooms designed by artists, and a pavilion near the river
bank.
