Let's Explore Incheon with Feel the Rhythm of Korea!

Have you watched the latest video from the “Feel the Rhythm of Korea” series? In this latest video, there are several special guest stars, apart from dancers from Ambiguous Dance Company, there are also stars from the program “2 Days & 1 Night”! They dance starting from Incheon International Airport, as the main entrance for Most tourists, then continue to some fun locations to explore in Incheon city. Anything? Come on note!

1. Ganghwa Anglican Church

Built in November 1900, the Ganghwa Anglican church has maintained its authenticity. This church is the first church built in the traditional hanok style. While the interior mostly features western-style elements, the exterior looks like one of a royal palace building or even a Buddhist temple.

After exploring the church, a great place to relax is the Joyangbangjik cafe. This cafe is located in a renovated former weaving factory and serves a variety of coffee and non-coffee drinks. Additional points of interest in the Ganghwa Anglican church area include Goryeo palace site and Yongheunggung House. The site of the Goryeo palace was used as a refuge when Mongolia invaded during the Goryeo period. Yongheunggung House was the home of King Cheoljong (reigned 1849-1863) before he became king. The house was built in a similar design to Yeongyeongdang Hall and Nakseonjae hall, Changdeokgung palace.

2. Incheon Art Platform

Opened in September 2009, the Incheon Art Platform is a cultural space that presents various exhibitions and performing arts programs. The entire complex is filled with unique statues. The Incheon Art Platform is located in the vicinity of Haean-dong, home to many heritage buildings built after the opening of the port in 1883, most of them built in the 1930s and 40s. Thanks to this unique style, the area has become the filming location for many Korean dramas such as “Descendants of the Sun (2016)” and “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (2016).”

3. Wolmido Islands Playground

Wolmido Island is a playground that has many amusement parks and recreational facilities, including Wolmi Theme Park, MyLand, Wolmi Land, and Beach Land. The park's most popular rides are the Viking boat and the Disco Pang-Pang ride. Visitors can enjoy the view of this playground by walking along the 600-meter Wolmi cultural road, riding the Wolmi Seatrain monorail. The monorail also offers an extraordinary view of the sea. In addition, there are many cafes and restaurants serving fresh seafood with beautiful sea views.

4. Songdo Central Park

Songdo Central Park sits amidst the surrounding skyscrapers. There are unique architectures in this park, such as the Tri-Bowl. The lake within the park uses seawater taken from the surrounding sea. There are many walking trails throughout the park to take in the surrounding scenery, from hanok villages to hotels, restaurants and other amenities. One of the fun activities that visitors do at Songdo Central Park is a water taxi. For other exciting water activities, visitors can rent canoes or transparent kayaks. At sunset, visitors can also try the moon boat (moon boat).
