The South Korean government made a Quarantine Release policy for Fully Vaccinated Visitors
Starting
July 2021, visitors who have completed their COVID-19 vaccination will be
released from quarantine. It is restricted to visitors with special purposes
(business, academic and extradition). Currently, the Korean government requires
all overseas arrivals to undergo a mandatory two-week quarantine, but this is
waived for visitors who have completed their vaccinations.
How
important is it to get vaccinated? Of course very important. As with the
benefits of other vaccines, the COVID-19 vaccine is useful for providing
protection from being infected or seriously ill due to COVID-19 by generating
or stimulating specific immunity in the body by giving the vaccine. The
complete dose of COVID-19 vaccination and according to the recommended schedule
as well as the implementation of 5M behavior (wearing a mask, washing hands
with soap and running water or hand sanitizer, maintaining distance, staying
away from crowds and reducing mobility) are protective measures that we can do
to avoid disease. COVID-19.
However,
quarantine exemption is only available from two weeks after completing the
number of vaccinations recommended by the country of origin. Following WHO
standards, the accepted vaccination brands are Pfizer, Janssen, Moderna,
AstraZeneca, Covishield, Sinopharm, and Sinovac. In addition, quarantine
exemptions will not be granted to arrivals from countries with a high number of
COVID-19 variants such as South Africa and Brazil.
Quarantine
exemption can be applied by submitting the necessary documents to the
