Korea Indonesia Film Festival (KIFF) 2021 Returns as a Place for Korean and Indonesian Cultural Exchange

Through Films with the theme 'Adapting and Moving Forward Together, apart from going to theaters, films will also be broadcast online according to current conditions. 

27 October 2021 - The Korea Indonesia Film Festival (KIFF) 2021 will be held in the near future.  After the success of the Korea Indonesia Film Festival (KIFF) in 2020, the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) Indonesia, under the auspices of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea for Indonesia and CGV Cinemas, is collaborating again to present the Korea Indonesia Film Festival (KIFF) 2021, an international event.  which displays a variety of interesting films from Korea and Indonesia which aims to introduce and promote Korean and Indonesian culture through the films shown. 

The Korea Indonesia Film Festival (KIFF) event in Indonesia is nothing new, since 2013, the Korea Indonesia Film Festival (KIFF) has always succeeded in capturing the attention of thousands of people to come to the cinema with the presence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Indonesia, government officials, politicians,  Indonesian artists, K-Pop lovers, and many others who show their support for Korean and Indonesian films. 

This year, the Korea Indonesia Film Festival (KIFF) 2021 which will take place from October 27, 2021 to October 31, 2021, carries the theme 'Adapting and Moving Forword Together, where the event will take place online and offline through cinemas according to current conditions.  For offline screenings, screenings of films from various genres, including Indonesian films will be held at CGV Jakarta (CGV Grand Indonesia) & Bandung (CGV Paris Van Java).  For online playback, the public can also watch through the Video plotform.

Silhak movement in the Joseon Dynasty in South Korea

Since the beginning of the 17th century, a movement that advocated Silhak, or learning about practical matters, gained considerable momentum among liberal-minded scholars as a tool for building a modern nation. They strongly advocate for improvements in agriculture and industry, in line with comprehensive reforms in terms of land distribution. However, the nobles of conservative governments were not ready to make such drastic changes. In the second half of the Joseon Dynasty, the administration of government and the upper classes was marked by factionalism or the formation of groups which appeared repeatedly.
