Seoullo 7017 road development, South Korea

Seoul is located in the northwest of the country, in the southern part of the Korean DMZ, on the Han River.  The city is the political, cultural, social and economic center of South Korea and East Asia.  It is also a center for business, finance, multinational corporations, and global organizations.  Until now, he is considered the ray of the East Asian economy, a symbol of the Korean economic miracle.
 
Seoul is one of the most densely populated cities in the world.  Its density has made it one of the digital-cable cities in the world.  The city also has a registered vehicle of more than 1 million vehicles causing traffic jams well past midnight.  The large part of Seoul and the commuter area, including the city pier of Incheon and the residential area of ​​Seongnam, is one of the most densely populated areas in the world. 

In the 1970s, an overpass was built to connect the east and west sides around Seoul Station.  However, this road is closed to road traffic due to safety concerns.  After that, instead of tearing down the existing structure, the street was converted into Seoullo 7017, a new pedestrian street attraction. 

Seoullo 7017 gets its name from the numbers that represent its transformation, from a traffic street in the 70s to a sky garden in 2017. The "17" also has a deeper meaning, as Seoullo 7017 is divided into 17 unique sections, and is a street located  17 meters above the ground. 

There are various facilities along Seoullo 7017, including an information center, cafe, park, and stage.  Seoullo 7017 is open all day, every day visitors can enjoy at their leisure.  Visitors who are interested in a guided tour can register for a guided walking tour through the official Visit Seoul website. 

The address is 405, Hangang-daero, Jung-gu, Seoul 405. Maximum capacity about 5,000 people, Transportation Directions if taking [Subway] Seoul Station (Seoul Subway Line 1), Exit 2. Turn right  and the road is about 130 m.
