The Best of Korea Featured at The Meetings Show 2022
Participants of this year's The Meetings Show enjoyed Korean-style treats thanks to the participation of many of the country's major business event providers on June 29-30 in London. Korea's strong appeal as a business and leisure destination is evident, with the Korea MICE Bureau specifically introducing a newly updated support program for business events hosted in the country.
The
co-hosts, Busan Convention & Visitors Bureau were also present. Korea's
second city, Busan showcases 'HAEVENUE' (Haeundae International Conference
Complex), a city-only MICE zone consisting of BEXCO (Busan Exhibition &
Convention Center), accommodation (Paradise Hotel, Park Hyatt, Westin Josun
Busan, Grand Josun), and places -unique places (Nurimaru APEC House, Busan
Cinema Center, DAH Museum). Busan will be bidding for the upcoming 2030 World
Expo, and recently appointed BTS as Honorary Ambassadors to support the
promotion of the offer.
Also
in attendance were The Independence Hall of Korea, a Korean Unique Place
located in Chungcheongnam-do Province. Consisting of seven expansive exhibition
halls, convention halls, auditoriums and outdoor spaces, The Independence Hall
of Korea offers the perfect venue for a unique MICE event while demonstrating
the spirit of the Korean people's struggle for freedom and peace.
Meanwhile,
new to this year's The Meetings Show are the Korea MICE Association, which
represents Korea's MICE industry, and the Changwon Exhibition Convention Center
(CECO), which is located south of Changwon city, an industrial city that is

Destination Management Company at the Korean stand.
Korea
continues to make progress to strengthen its position as one of the most
popular convention destinations in the world. The latest UIA statistical report
places Korea second in the world for international association events. The
recent ICCA rankings announced in May 2022 also show Seoul has risen to the top
5 global cities for international gatherings.
This
is Korea's first live attendance at The Meetings Show since 2019 due to the
Covid-19 pandemic. Prior to Covid-19, Korea annually attended The Meetings
Show, the UK's premier industry networking meeting and education exhibition.
Korea MICE Expo, Korea's own premier gathering exhibition, will take place this
year from November 9-10.
