World Heritage City Forum Gathers Heritage Experts in Korea
The
World Heritage City Forum will be held at the Suwon Convention Center from 29
(Thursday) – 30 (Friday) September and is expected to attract around 500
delegates.
First
launched in September 2021, the World Heritage Cities Forum serves as an
opportunity to network between a network of World Heritage Cities centered
around Suwon, home to the World Heritage, Suwon Hwaseong Fort. This forum is
attended by those whose work or interests involve World Heritage, Sustainable
Tourism and City Image.
The
main theme of this year's forum is the Sustainable Use of World Heritage
Cities. Event delegates will gain insight into sustainable world heritage and
local communities; co-development between cities and cultural heritage; and
world heritage applied in a number of areas, including fashion, corporate
marketing and content. The World Heritage Cities Forum is incomplete without
eminent speakers. This year, they invited Jae Heon Choi, Professor of Geography
and World Heritage Studies at Konkuk University, Screenwriter Jinyoung Rho,
Young Jin Kim, CEO of Tcaikim and many more.
Korea
is on the rise as a top meeting destination with more and more upcoming
international conferences to be held in the country, including the 73rd APAA
Council Meeting (1,600 people), the 24th International Acoustic Congress (1,000
people), and the International Congress of Endocrinology and Metabolism. Seoul
2022 (1,300 people). Meanwhile, the Korea MICE Bureau is offering special
support to conference organizers, including cultural performances, touring
