Magnificent Korean cultural performances in Indonesia


This event was held on Saturday, October 26, 2019, this event was still incorporated in the 2019 Korean Festival which was certainly held in Indonesia,
For this time the theme (Korean Culture Brand Festival, Kunt Festa and Taekwondo), held at Ciputra Artpreneur Jakarta, many performances are displayed in this event, which is certainly very entertaining for visitors who attend.
The purpose of this event is to promote Korean culture in Indonesia, because as we know in Indonesia, there are many people who are very enthusiastic about Korean events held in Indonesia, there are also many Indonesian people who hope to continue attending Korean events, if there is a Korean event which was held in Indonesia,
The event from (korean culture brand festival of gugak festa and taekwondo) is supported by, the republic of Korea's embassy in Indonesia, the center of Korean culture, Korean traditional music association, and kukkiwon.

The program was divided into two sessions and there were twelve performances
1. Taekwondo performance gilpung, performances that imply the spirit of Taekwondo will spread throughout the world with a good wind and create a unified world. This taekwondo performance is a short performance with a background of gukak fusion produced by the Korea National Taekwondo Institute (kukkiwon) and arranged with basic movements, poomsae, sparring, break skills (gyeokpa), martial skills, special skills.

2. Korean Traditional Dance, Taepyeongmu is a dance that implies the queen or king praying for the prosperity of the royal family and state peace. This dance is characterized by large, fast foot movements and complex movements. The footsteps, which are danced by dancers across complex rhythms at fast pace rather than aligning with complex rhythms and drawing a half circle between rhythms.

3. Gyeonggi Folk Songs, Gyeonggi Folk Songs are traditional cultural transmissions from Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. It also includes folk songs from the North of Chungcheong-Do and Gangwoo-Do so it is also called the folk song of the central district. These songs are designated as No.57 National Intangible Cultural Property.

4. Byeongchang Gayageum, Byeongchang Gayageum is a vocal music that sings part of Danga (Short songs that sing to loosen the neck before singing pansori like short poetry) and Pansori (Genre of narrating Korean musical stories performed by drummer singers) while playing gayageum (Korean traditional instruments such as harp). Furthermore, this song is the result of several parts of the song Danga, pansori and Folk which are put together in accordance with the Gayageum sound.

5. Southern Provincial Songs, Folk songs are sung in some parts of Jeolla-do, Chungcheongnam-Do, and the southwestern part of Gyegeongsangnam-do. There are original regional songs sung along with popular folk songs at work. The singers sing the song with a musical expression called Yujabaegi-Tori.

6. Korean Traditional Dance, Hwa Seon is a dance based on basic dance moves that are improvised and beautiful movements for the audience to feel joy together with the dancers.

7. Daegeum-Sanjo, Daegeum-Sanjo is made for solos, so that each player has different tones and sounds and that is a song that is played using Sanjo Daegeum.

8. Korean Classical Music (Gukak) - develops the Lah Ship, The song called Developing the Ship (Bae reul ddieora) utilizes the rhythm and melodic melodies so that the general public more easily follows the song. The song became famous by the public after Gukak expert Oh Jung Hae sang this song.

9. Tap Dance, This dance is a dance that is played with the rhythm of hitting the floor using rhythmic metal-taped shoes.


10. Accompanied performances (Pansori, Drum, and Pungmul), Pansori is a genre that is usually accompanied by singers and drummers who play performances in a musical and traditional way, but this pansori performance will create a new genre of pansori that is played with modern instruments such as drum and modern instruments. pungmul.

11. Jindo Drum Dance, This is a dance developed from Duregood to Nongak and once again developed into a Jindo drum dance from the Jindo region, Jeollanam-di. This dance is played while holding drumsticks in both hands. This is often called Ssangbook (dancing while holding both drumsticks) and Yangbook (hitting both sides of the drum).

12. Pungmul, the word Pung from Pungmul means the music is the same as 'Pungryu' and 'Pungjang'. Therefore, Pungmul is used to show musical instruments such as kkwaenggwari, gongs, jangu, and drums.

Like that some of the shows that were displayed in Korean culture yesterday, this event is very useful for the audience who attended, because this event introduces Korean culture to the Indonesian people, there may be some viewers who don't know or don't know Korean culture yet, but with this, people who don't know about culture and now they know.

The enthusiasm of the Indonesian people who attended the event was very happy, many of the viewers who captured this moment using their cellphones, both recording videos and taking pictures in the form of photos.
After the event was finished there was a photo session outside the venue where many people took pictures with cultural players, they were all interested in taking pictures because the players wore traditional Korean clothes or hanbooks, there were also photos taken with taekwondo players.
