South Korea's tourism system which is systematic and attractive
Regarding tourism, South Korea is one of the
countries that is very serious in managing tourism, both from its natural resources,
as well as its highly skilled human resources. This is inseparable from the
government's participation in the success of the tourism sector in South Korea.
thus making South Korea a favorite destination for foreign tourists.
There are at least three important points made by
the South Korean Government. so that tourism in this country is so advance now.
First, means of transportation. As a country with
very rapid technological development, the transportation system in South Korea,
such as the subway transportation mode, has used a ticket purchase machine with
a full touch screen system (touch screen). This service is available in three
languages, namely Korean, English and Mandarin.
Subway users also don't need to worry about queuing
up when buying tickets, because ticket purchasing machines at each subway
station are available in adequate numbers and the conditions are all ready to
use.
No need to worry about your destination station,
because in the subway there is an information screen and an operator that
informs the next station in Korean and English. This will really help tourists
who don't understand Korean.
Second, public facilities. The South Korean
government is very serious in managing public facilities, such as public
toilets, and playgrounds.
Third, the playground. This place is laid out nicely
and there are various kinds of sports equipment that function properly.
Fourth, tourist facilities. This plays an important
role in the development of tourism in South Korea. All tourist attractions in
this country have implemented a bilingual system, namely Korean and English,
including the names of attractions, information boards, brochures, maps, and so
forth. Even at the National Museum of Korea brochures are available in Russian,
Japanese and even Indonesian.
This has become a distinct advantage of South Korea
which is very concerned with details such as the availability of brochures in
various languages.
Talking about tourism, of course it cannot be
separated from the phenomenon of Hallyu or Korean Wave, where currently South
Korea began to dominate the entertainment world. Not only in the Asian region,
but even penetrated into the European and American markets. This was marked by
the success of the Gangnam Style single which was popularized by Korean singer
PSY. For this matter, the government is actually involved by providing
scholarships to arts workers from South Korea to be able to study in the United
States and be able to apply what has been learned in the US when returning to
South Korea. Not surprisingly, K-Pop or Korean Pop is currently the subject of
world discussion. The success of K-Pop itself is not only caused by the
appearance of singers with beautiful and handsome faces, but besides that they
are also equipped with exceptional vocal abilities and dancing skills gained
through years of training. All of that is packaged in complete packages by South
Korea. thus becoming one of the key drivers of tourism that has proven
successful to date.
Seeing the rapid development of tourism in South
Korea raises a question mark in my mind, why tourism in Indonesia has not been
able to develop as rapidly as in South Korea?
In fact, if you look at the comparison of natural
resources, natural resources in Indonesia, including Aceh, of course, are more
attractive than natural resources in South Korea. Even in some aspects, natural
resources in Indonesia are far more amazing, especially the sea charm. Indeed,
the participation of the government is very important for the progress of
tourism. Without government support, the tourism sector is difficult to
develop.
And of course the support of all levels of
Indonesian society must be active in the role of tourism.
