And I also want to tell you the facts about the food 'Seolleongtang', Beef Bone Soup which often appears in Korean dramas.

1. Seolleongtang is prepared from boiled beef bone for a long time until the sauce is milky-white, Seolleongtang is a type of South Korean-style soup made from beef bones (starting from legs, head, ribs, and even intestines). The time used for the boiling process is long, so the color of the broth turns milky-white. Furthermore, thin slices of beef are also mixed into it.

2. Seolleongtang is a food passed down from generation to generation since the Joseon Dynasty. The word 'seolleongtang' comes from 'seonnongtang', after the activities of the king after performing rituals at Seonnongdan temple. Precisely, during the Joseon dynasty, the king paid tribute to Shennong in Seonnongdan for a bountiful harvest. In this ritual, rice, millet, as well as cattle and pork were offered. After the ritual was over, the king ordered the palace cook to process the ingredients into a dish, then invited the old peasants to attend a dinner.

Nowadays, tourists can eat a bowl of Seolleongtang at restaurants that generally serve this menu specifically. The warm soup will be served with noodles, a sprinkling of green onions, kimchi kkakdugi (white radish kimchi), and rice.

4. Seolleongtang's cooking process hasn't changed much since ancient times. Seolleongtang's cooking process doesn't seem to have changed much since ancient times. The goal is to maintain the authentic taste of the dish. Apparently, one of the reasons why the boiling is done for a long time is so that the natural savory flavor will be thicker. Because, this dish does not use a lot of spices in its processing.
