The Ministry of
Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea (MCST) together with the Visit Korea
Committee (VKC) will host the “Korea Grand Sale 2021”, a cultural and tourism
festival for foreign tourists, for 46 days, starting from January 14 to
February 28. Korea Grand Sale is a shopping tourism festival that offers
tourism content and shopping benefits to attract foreign tourists during the
holiday season. This festival will be held exclusively online in 2021 due to
the COVID-19 situation.
The various programs
offered are, ○ Virtual culture tours around Korea where people can experience
and buy Korean cultural content without direct contact; ○ A special online
shopping promotion where discounts are offered for K-beauty, K-food, and
K-fashion products, which are popular with foreign tourists; and ○ Share Your
Korea, a social media campaign with hashtags designed to grab the audience's
attention and encourage them to participate on social media.

Virtual Tour, Don't Miss the E-Class
The famous Hallyu
star, Eric Nam, will be the guide for the Korea Grand Slae and will talk about
the festival. An introductory video about K-pop, K-beauty, K-fashion, K-food,
and K-Heritage by Eric Nam will be broadcast on YouTube and tvN Asia Channel.
In addition, to introduce Korean tourism, an online class will be held. This
class provides an opportunity for foreign tourists to learn about K-content
(Korean food, K-Pop, Korean beauty, Korean language, etc.) and experience
Korean culture first-hand from experts in each field. Discount coupons will
also be given to those who join the program to make their virtual tour
experience even more enjoyable.

media campaign for foreign nationals, “#Share_Your_Korea” will run for 46 days.
It is intended for tourists from all over the world to think back on their
recent trip to Korea in the hope that they will choose Korea as their first
destination once tourism improves again.
Along with this,
the Korea Experience Program will take place in collaboration with KOCIS
(Korean Culture and Information Service). Foreign influencers living in Korea
will participate in this program to promote Korean charm to the world.
In cooperation
with Google Korea, a global digital marketing education program will also be
held for local companies and businesses participating in the 2021 Korea Grand
Sale. In addition, to actively promote the Korea Grand Sale online outside
Korea, the promotion is strengthened through cooperation with international
network companies such as airlines, duty free, KTO, KOTRA and other related
organizations.
MCST and VKC's
efforts to promote Korea as a shopping tourism destination through the Korea
